Long weekends are meant to catch your breath, and the Tatra valleys are the perfect place to truly relax. Here you will find silence interrupted only by the sound of streams, the scent of the forest, and the breathtaking view of the peaks. The Tatras in autumn captivate with colors, mountain air, and that special feeling of freedom that stays in your memory for a long time.
When the weather is good – short treks with a view
You don’t have to climb peaks to feel the magic of the Tatra Mountains. You just need light shoes, a thermos of tea, and a good mood:
• Chochołowska Valley – a comfortable path to the shelter, good even in light snow.
• Strążyska Valley and Siklawica Waterfall – a short but extremely picturesque trail.
• Nosal and Antałówka – quick ascents with beautiful panoramas, especially at sunrise or sunset.
• Bachledzki Wierch – photogenic mists and a wide panorama of Zakopane.
Alternatively: head to the Gorce Mountains – to Turbacz from Nowy Targ. The gentle trail leads to a viewing tower with a fantastic view of the Tatras.
